Welcome to our "Pocketlamp" project!

Have you ever used your mobile phone to find the key hole when locking up the door?
We have - and we wanted to improve the mobile phone regarding being a pocket lamp.

- To be most useful, our mobile phone pocket lamp should be as bright as possible,
  so we made the whole display white and turned on the background light.
- But there are more applications: For emergency cases, we have implemented blinking
  (think of an accident in the mountains after it got dark...)
- Furthermore, we have implemented a "star map" mode: If you are out in the night
  watching stars and have a star map, red light is the best to use for reading the
  map so that the eyes are not blended. You have to push and hold the central button
  to turn it on.
- Another "toy" is the "morse mode" to send messages in the night by clicking the
  central button for a long or short time according the morse code.
- Special mode for Philipp Spitzer: The bicycle front and back light for the cases
  where he forgets his "real" bicycle lights. ;-)


The target platform for the pocket lamp application is the
Googles Android platform <http://code.google.com/android/>.
